Targeting is psychological as well as physical. We can use our senses to lessen some of its effects.
Look at images from a favorite artist. Look at old photos. Put something pleasing to the eye in an area of a room. Watch a video of a dance style you've never seen before. Visit a poster shop.
Listen to classical music. Listen to the birds. Listen to the ocean waves, a river, or a babbling brook. Hum your favorite song. Learn how to play an instrument.
Go scent shopping. Light a scented candle. Use scented lotions. Smell the flowers.
Eat some fruit. Drink a cup of mint tea. Chew gum. Sample ice cream flavors at the store. Take smaller bites of your favorite food and really enjoy it!
Take a bubble bath. Soak your feet in warm water with epsom salt. Put a cold facecloth on your forehead. Go for a ride with the windows down. Hug someone.
